A chikin hunt is tough on a dog. Heat and sandburs can take its toll. If you are planning on bringing your own dogs, be sure to bring boots. The chikin is one of the few game bird species where hunting without a dog will actually produce more shooting. But, we understand that some of you would rather shoot fewer birds than leave your best friend at home.
